ICEBERG Consortium Comes Together in Nantes for General Assembly 2025

This week, the ICEBERG consortium gathers in Nantes, France, for the project’s second General Assembly. Over the course of three days, we will share our results, discuss plans for 2025 and prepare for the upcoming fieldwork activities. We are excited to meet all our partners face-to-face and plan for another successful year of ICEBERG!

The General Assembly is the largest and most important internal forum of the ICEBERG project, bringing together representatives from each of our partner organizations. ICEBERG’s second General Assembly will take place in Nantes, France, from 4 to 6 February, hosted by our partner, Oniris and organized by University of Oulu. This year’s General Assembly will also welcome our Advisory Board members from Iceland and Greenland.

During our gathering , we will assess the ICEBERG project’s progress for 2024 and will discuss the achievements and ways of creating impact with officers from the European Commission. we will also discuss plans to further collaboration with our sibling projects, ILLUQ and ArcSolution.

A significant part of the General Assembly will involve planning the year 2025 fieldwork period and honing the communications strategy to support it.

A special session will be dedicated to ICEBERG Early Career Researchers who will have the opportunity to introduce their ongoing research. We are looking forward to learning about their exciting research projects.

This General Assembly will also be the opportunity to have a guided laboratory tour of LABERCA (Oniris).

We are excited about this opportunity to meet all our consortium members face-to-face and ensure that 2025 will be a productive and successful year for the ICEBERG project. We wish to extend a warm thank you to our partner Oniris for generously hosting this year’s ICEBERG assembly!
